Jane Craigie, Managing Director of Jane Craigie Marketing, which specialises in marketing and communications for agriculture, food and the rural economy, will be speaking at NFU Scotland’s conference in Glasgow next week. Speaking alongside Annabel Shackleton of LEAF (Linking the Environment and Farming) and diversified farmer, and immediate past Chairman of the Oxford Farming Conference, Caroline Millar, Jane will be talking about engaging the public – and the government and retailers – with farming stories. Following the session, the speakers will lead discussions on the future of Scottish farming and the rural economy.
Jane, who will be speaking ahead of Fergus Ewing MSP, said “I am delighted to be invited to speak at the NFUS conference, and about something I feel so passionately about. Communicating with the public about agriculture and what is being done is more important than ever in the current climate of change, and when we need to be engaged with stakeholders at all levels. I am looking forward to some animated discussion about the future of Scottish agriculture and the rural economy, and how farmers and agribusiness can all play a part in it.”
The NFU Scotland annual conference will be held on 8 & 9 February 2018, at Radisson Blu in Glasgow. Speakers include Fergus Ewing MSP, Dennis Overton of Scottish Food & Drink, and diversified farmers Duncan McConchie and Tracy Roan. There will also be the opportunity to network with other delegates as well as visit the numerous exhibitor stands.
